Les WSOP est un tournoi de No Limit Texas Hold’em, qui a eu lieu pour la première fois en 1970. Le vainqueur du tournoi gagne un bracelet de champion du monde et une grande somme d’argent. Si à la première édition on a compté seulement 38 participants, l’événement de 2007 a compté 6358 participants, une différence énorme, qui se traduit par l’ampleur gagnée au cours des années par le jeu de poker.
